JOHNSON
CONTROLS INC, International Headquarters, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Project included planning and design for rehabilitation of its 1960’s international-style headquarters reflecting pool and surrounding landscape. Upgrading water quality of the 2 million gallon pool, and upgrades and enhancements to the landscape were primary objectives. Sustainable design was a major objective of the project which features innovative use of filtration cisterns to capture parking lot and site run-off, which was a major contributor to poor water quality in the pool. The cisterns will, in turn, supply water for irrigation of the plantings and lawn areas. To increase water quality without chemicals, systems including sand filters and ozone treatment were installed with a new pool circulation system. All new fountain features are managed by efficient pumps and systems. Objectives were to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) |
